Why compressed air needs to be dried?

Compressed air contains 100% relative humidity of water, with its cooling in the pipeline, water will precipitate out, in the compressed air system, if there is water, will bring many disadvantages to the user.

Firstly, there will be an increase in running and maintenance costs, i.e. a rise in maintenance costs for components such as meters, solenoid valves, cylinders, etc.; a reduction in the efficiency of the equipment and the possibility of production interruptions;

Secondly, the social security investment of the whole production line increases, and it is necessary to add condensation, separation, sewage and other equipment in the system;

Lastly, the quality of the process will be affected by the high water content of the compressed air, thus affecting the quality of the product, especially for the paint spraying, sand blasting, pneumatic control systems, food processing, pharmaceutical and other industries.

The degree of dryness of compressed air is usually expressed by the dew point temperature, the dew point is the temperature at which water vapour starts to condense through cooling and becomes liquid from vapour.

 

Heatless Regeneration Adsorption Dryer

Heatless regeneration adsorption dryer is to use the principle of variable pressure adsorption, the desiccant adsorbs the water in compressed air under the pressure of pipe network, and then switches to the atmospheric pressure to desorb, and draws back a part of dry air from the outlet of adsorption tower to carry out dehydration and regeneration for the dryer, and adsorbs the water in one tower, desorbs the regeneration of the other, and the two towers work in continuous cycle alternately to provide dry, clean compressed air to the point of use uninterruptedly.
